Councillor Nrinder Nann, Ward 3 – Update for the GALA Herald:

Dear Neighbours,

Earlier this year, the annual Ward 3 Community Impact Report was shared in the mail outlining what my office accomplished alongside our neighbours during a challenging 2021. You can also review it online at www.nrinder.ca/ward-3-impact-reports.

Here are two updates for this issue in the 250 words we have to provide it:

Pick up a Presto Card for Kids Ride Free on HSR.

Parents and guardians can register for a free PRESTO card for children ages 6-12 at any Hamilton Public Library branch. This card allows kids to take the HSR free until April 30, 2023. (One per child, while supplies last.) Visit hpl.ca/bus-card for full details or call (905) 546-3200.

Temporary Shelter at Former Cathedral Boys School – Community Update Meeting

On Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 6:30 to 8 p.m Housing Services and community partners will provide an overview of the transition and operations of this temporary location to a gender-specific emergency shelter for women, trans-feminine, trans-masculine, and non-binary adults. This will be a virtual meeting with phone-in options. There will be an opportunity to ask questions. Pre-registration is required. If you have registration questions or would like to submit questions regarding the shelter in advance, please email housing@hamilton.ca.
