Nrinder Nann
Councilor Ward 3

Dear Neighbours,

A special shout to all the moms in GALA, thank you for all you do to support the kids of #OurWard3. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Beautiful Alleys and community clean ups last month – your efforts have made our neighbourhoods better!

Here are a few updates I wanted to share with you:

Steelworkers Poster Call Out
Hamilton Steelworkers Area Council is hosting a poster contest for students to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. Your posters can be dropped off at 1031 Barton Street E between 8 am – 4 pm or email hamiltonsteel@live.com for pick up arrangements. Deadline for submission is May 27. There are prizes to be won, and will be given out on June 5th.

Phase 2 Victoria Cycle Track
Phase 2 of the Victoria Cycle Track between Cannon and Stinson is slated for design and build this summer. Residents can provide input for design consideration until May 13 by emailing my office. To view a recording of the virtual community consultation, please visit my website under the Better Neighbourhoods tab.

Bayfront Industrial Area Strategy (BIAS)
Through BIAS, the City shares a 45+ year action plan that seeks to transform our largest and oldest employment area. It aims to deliver efficient use of land, attract growth and investment, and improve the environmental conditions. Your input as Ward 3 residents is vital. A virtual Public Information Centre was held on April 14. To view a recording which includes a detailed breakdown of the project, please visit engage.hamilton.ca/bayfrontstrategy.

The Ward 3 Office remains proud and committed to serving all #OurWard3 communities. Stay updated with our bi-weekly e-newsletter by signing up at www.nrinder.ca/ward-3-newsletter. Reach us by email at ward3@hamilton.ca or call (905) 546-2702.
