Healing the Community Through Reconciliation & Reintegration
Located at 319 Barton Street East, The Bridge Hamilton was established in 2001 to provide reintegration services to people exiting incarceration. They provide several reintegration supports including a Transitional Housing Program that hosts up to six men at a time. The clients are supported by dedicated staff and have access to our in-house services and programs during their stay. The goal of The Bridge’s Transitional Housing Program is to provide secure housing to clients as they work towards accessing permanent housing arrangements after incarceration.
The Tuesday and Thursday Dinners and Life Skills Discussion Group where clients and staff prepare and share a meal together followed by a facilitated group discussion. Some of the focus areas of facilitated group discussion include Navigating Mental Health & Addictions, Building Healthy Relationships, Parenting Skills & Supports, Career Planning & Managing Emotions.

After 21 years, on Monday, April 17th, 2022 the Bridge House caught fire, sending one resident to the hospital and leaving the rest without a home and with nothing more than the clothes on their back. “We are extremely grateful to the Hamilton Fire Department for their immediate action and help extinguish the flames before more damage could be done.”
But they are still in desperate need of your help. A gofundme has been created ANY donation whether it is $5, $20 or $50 will help make an impact. https://www.gofundme.com/…/barton-street-residents…
It takes a village to care for our neighbours and residents. Please join in helping these residents move forward and enabling The Bridge Hamilton to provide support for future clients.
