Thanks to all those who put themselves up for election for Mayor, Councillor or School Trustee. They gave their time, energy and money in a desire to serve our city. That was sometimes an effort that opened them to criticism or worse. Whether you were the successful candidate or no, you deserve our thanks and appreciation.

Thanks also to those who voted. You also gave thought and time to make your choice. To those who didn’t vote – Why Not?

Hamilton is my pride and my inspiration. I could not have asked for a better hometown. I am filled with gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who voted, who volunteered and put up signs and those who bravely put their names on a ballot. You put your love for your city into action.

Thank you to Keanin Loomis and Bob Bratina and all other mayoral candidates.  Many good ideas were brought to this race.

Thank you outgoing Mayor Fred Eisenberger. He has given years to this city. And a heartfelt congratulations to every member of the new Hamilton City Council.

Friends, we started this campaign with the goal to build a Hamilton that works for everyone. But winning this election isn’t the end — it’s the beginning. Hamilton’s best days are ahead of us. Thank you for your trust.

Thank you to Ward 4 for your confidence and support! I am honoured and humbled by the trust and responsibility you have given me today. I look forward to serving Ward 4 at City Council and will be working hard for everyone.

Thank you to my fellow candidates for stepping up and showing our community your leadership and commitment to making this ward an amazing place to live and work. Thank you to my team (and my family) for working with me for the past four months on this campaign and being the best support system and cheerleaders.

I’m looking forward to working collaboratively with Council at City Hall to ensure that we build vibrant communities, small business resiliency, and facilitate greater communication and transparency. 

Josie Angelini

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the constituents in Wards 3 and 4 that voted for me in this past municipal election. A very special thank you to those individuals in Wards 3 and 4—you know who you are—who advocated for me in their neighbourhoods. It was wonderful to meet people during my campaign where discussions took place about changes and improvements needed within our schools. It is with great pleasure that I continue to serve the community I lived and worked in for most of my life. I will work diligently to fulfill the role and responsibilities of a Catholic School Board Trustee for the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board. I will promote safe and inclusive schools, more educational assistants (EA’s) and quality programs and learning opportunities in inner-city schools. I will work cooperatively and vocally with fellow trustees and board members. Keep open lines of communication with constituents to build and maintain relationships of trust and accountability. I will stay committed to being responsive to the needs of the community.

Nrinder Nann

To all ward 3 residents, it was my honour to serve as your Councillor under some of the most challenging circumstances we have ever had to face as a city and as a planet. I am so proud of what we have accomplished together.

Thank you for your vote of confidence and renewed mandate to lead with compassion and deliver results. You have shown that in our ward 3, we truly belong to each other. I am so thrilled to return for a second term. 

As I’ve said throughout the campaign, the next four years will shape our city’s future for generations to come. Over the next term we have the opportunity to lead on addressing the housing affordability crisis; providing great transit for all; investing in quality and safer streets; ensuring the LRT delivers tangible community benefits along the entire corridor; transforming the industrial north end to be cleaner and greener; and providing excellent resident engagement to get it done right.

I feel very hopeful about this next term of council and I can’t wait to get back to work with my new council colleagues.

Maria Felix Miller

Hello beautiful GALA neighbours. I want to take a moment to thank you for the support you’ve shown me during this election. I am honoured to have been elected as the Public School Trustee representing Ward 3 for the 2022-2026 term. It was wonderful to connect and chat with residents during my campaign and I am excited to continue my work across the HWDSB schools communities in our area. Over the last term, I dedicated myself to being active and present in my role and I am happy to see that my work has resonated with many families. There is no other ward in our city like Ward 3 and I hope that the next four years brings us an even deeper sense of community and collaboration. As the academic year gets underway, I am always available to families or neighbours who may need support.
