Thanks to the leadership of our Event planner Jason LaMondine, we were able to host our annual Easter Event on April 8, 2023.
He brought together our funders, Neighbourhood Development, Wever Core and Brian Sibley from East Kiwanis Non-Profit who have continuously supported us through their generosity. Our community stepped up with donations of cash and gifts from The Bridge, Medical Pharmacy on Barton and the countless people who gave prizes. Thanks to everyone, we were able to provide 200 candy bags and 50 “Dinner on Us” packages. Everyone who played the games and won got a prize and we had lots of draw prizes for the adults. Groups came out to play games and do crafts; Recreation, the Youth Navigators, Mohawk City School, St Matthews and Barton Street Library. Special thanks to MacNab for bringing his friends from HPS Mounted Team for the visit.
We couldn’t have done it without everyone who took a turn with registration, handing out prizes and keeping the crowd happy. Macy’s Food Mart for their wonderful pizzas to fill all the tummies and Jeff DeBruin-Smith from Barclay Photography who memorialized the event.
