On August 8, 2023 the community came together to share information on keeping our homes and neighbourhoods safe. They met at Lucy Day Park to catch up with neighbours, meet new friends and enjoy refreshments.

Hamilton Fire Department had brochures and information and visited the event with Pumper #6. The kids had a blast touring the fire truck and visiting with the fireman. I see future Fire Fighters in the making!

There was information and tips on how to make your home and property safe provided from the Hamilton Police Services and Urban Core attended to explain their Harm Reduction Services.
Representatives from our MP Matthew Green and Kiwanis Kids Services were on site to answer questions.
This is all information we need to learn and to share with our community.

SOME KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER
In an emergency situation
ALWAYS call 911 immediately
Report every crime. Even it is small,
even if no damage/theft is done,
it helps track the areas where extra
surveillance is needed
