What a whirlwind the start of 2024 has been! We finished off 2023 with a hugely successful Holiday Market in December and a 2-week soft launch of our new menu.
Since the start of 2024, 541 Eatery and Exchange has been open Tuesday to Saturday serving delicious, affordable meals to the Barton Village community.
We’ve been delighted to welcome community partners into our brand new community room to provide much needed services, including the Canadian Mental Health Association, Hamilton Bike Share, Hamilton Urban Core and KeepingSix Hamilton.
We’ve served over 850 meals already this year using the pay-it-forward Button Program, helping folks in the community access healthy, delicious food when they might otherwise be unable to.
We’ve had a wonderful opportunity to display the work of local artist Gordon Leverton (@hamiltonartist on Instagram) and been able to raise funds for the cafe through the proceeds of those art sales.
All this and so much more have made 2024 an incredible year already for 541. We’re looking forward to what next month will bring, and hope to see you at the cafe for coffee, community, and good food. We truly believe that we all are at our best when we are All Together at the Table.
