Hamilton is no stranger to gun violence. The Hamilton Police Service does a tremendous job at preventing and investigating shootings and firearm related occurrences, however gun violence is still a part of Hamilton’s ongoing crime history.
The latest occurrence happened on Thursday, April 4, 2024, shortly before 10:00am in broad daylight in downtown Stony Creek.
Hamilton Police have released a video of the occurrence which can be viewed at their official website – hamiltonpolice.on.ca
In the video, occupants inside a Honda Civic are seen firing a handgun at their intended target, and then speeding off.
The suspect vehicle is a grey or beige Honda Civic with a rear Ontario license plate believed to be, or similar to CHZX 964. The vehicle did not have a front license plate and had distinct damage to the front bumper.
Investigators are seeking the identity of two suspects, the driver of the Honda Civic and the passenger. In the video, the passenger is seen wearing a blue medical mask, a light colored sweater or jacket with the hood up, a reflective construction vest and light colored gloves.
